Hi This is a classy website! Congratulations, Melissa!
I have one RAY: Alice RAY b. 1879 IN, d. 1948 Fountain Co, IN. Married George Clinton HANthingy 1904, Fountain Co, IN. Five children: Beulah, 1905-1905; Mabel b 1906, spouses: Coffing and Wood; Ray (female) b about 1908, spouse: Bryant; Fauneil b 1908, spouses: Cole and Mosier; Homer b 1910, spouse: McKnight.
Homer is my husband's father and is still living at age 94! He knows nothing about his parents or his grandparents.
My antennae always are up at the mention of the Ray name.
I have checked with IN re: death/birth/marriage certs in the past and always get the "no record" reply. Perhaps all the tombstones are incorrect! I am on the west coast with the inlaws, a long jaunt for in-person research.
Ayway, perhaps another Indiana Ray will pop in and we can exchange info.
Thanks. Again, beautiful forum!

OOOOPS! In my last message....I don't know where "Hanthingy" came from! It should read "HANthingy". I guess it pays to preview.
Uh-oh! Melissa, what is happening? Everytime I try to write "Hanthingy" it prints out "Hanthingy". Is there a virus involved here? I have Norton on my machine.
Thank you. I will just sign myself Linda H.
